The Elite Art Deco Swiss Quality Hotel is housed in a renovated 1930s three-storey property set in the centre of Biel, 600 metres from the historic Old Town and one kilometre from the lake. The 74 air- conditioned guestrooms are decorated in warm, creamy hues with dark blue carpets and fabrics and modern light-wood furnishings, and include cable television with pay movies, safes, phone and minibars.
Guests can start the day with a buffet breakfast. In the evening, guests can unwind over pre-dinner drinks in the contemporary Baramundo bar, and then enjoy a range of Mediterranean dishes in the warm, relaxed atmosphere of the hotel's restaurant. The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland. Taxis can be found outside terminals A and B. The bus terminal is located adjacent to car park B; ten regular bus lines serve regional towns and villages. The railway station in Biel is 200 metres from the hotel. The city of Biel is easily explored on foot or using local bus services. A hire car would be useful for trips out of town. |
