The Hotel Excelsior is located near the centre of the Swiss mountain resort of Arosa, at an altitude of 1820 meters. The 75 light contemporary guestrooms, most with balconies and views of the mountains, have cable television, direct-dial phones, dial-up internet access, safes, and minibars.
Whether on business or skis, guests can unwind after a busy day with a massage, swim, sauna, or bronze in the solarium. In the morning, guests can enjoy a continental buffet breakfast and browse the complimentary newspapers, before catching the courtesy ski shuttle to the piste. More adventurous guests can take part in nighttime sledging, or romantic sleigh rides through the forest; both activities available via the 24-hour front desk. In the evenings, guests can sample the restaurant's Tuscan, Provencal and Swiss cuisine, made with market-fresh produce. The Bundnerstubli Restaurant offers a regional menu and is set in a 100-year-old Swiss pine store. The Bar 1882 offers live piano music and Italian-style furnishings. Families can use the childcare services and activities. Guests are 250 meters from the resort center, and 500 meters the nearest ski lift and piste. Zurich Airport is 165 kilometers, and the resort is three hours by train from the airport. The hotel chauffeur will collect you from Arosa train station.
