The Scandic Alvik is a modern hotel situated in on the outskirts of the capital city, 150 metres from Mälaren Lake and Alvik Strand waterfront, and five kilometres from Stockholm. This 11-floor hotel features 325 bright, modern guestrooms decorated in Scandinavian style, using a palate of light, fresh tones of white and orange, chocolate brown or bright green. All have wooden floors and contemporary Nordic design furnishings and are equipped with interactive satellite television with video games, high-speed Internet connections, radios, irons and ironing boards. Bathrooms include showers and complimentary toiletries.
Health-conscious guests can work out in the modern exercise room and afterwards unwind in the traditional sauna; facilities are free of charge for residents. Bus route number 100 runs to Alvik station on the Tunnelbana (Metro) green line. A ticket costs 45 SEK. Taxis can also be caught to the hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, services, leisure activities and the waterfront and lake. Stockholm can be reached by bus, taxi or private car. |
