The Hotel Casa Fuster is housed in a modernist monument was built in 1908 by the World Heritage architect Lluis Domenech I Montaner. The hotel is located on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona city center, two kilometers from Plaza Catalunya and a few hundred meters from Gaudi's landmark buildings. The 95 air-conditioned guestrooms feature warm décor in brown and plum colors and dark wood furniture. All have work desks with Internet access. Bathrooms have toiletries, bathrobes, telephones and handheld showers.
The hotel's traditional Vienes Café has 1911 marble columns and a view over Paseo de Gracia. Catalan and international dishes are served in the relaxed setting of the Casa Fuster restaurant, with its contemporary décor. Guests can have a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool, soak up rays in the solarium and take in the panoramic view of Barcelona from the terrace. The hotel houses a gymnasium, steam room, sauna and jetted tubs; massage and beauty treatments are also available. Audio-visual equipment is provided for seminars in the conference room and there is ample parking (surcharge) for visitors arriving by car. Barcelona Airport is 15 kilometers from the hotel. The airport train station is a short walk from the terminals, via a covered walkway. There are train services from the airport to the city center every 30 minutes. There is also an Aerobus service to Plaça de Catalunya, a five minute taxi ride from the hotel, every 12 minutes. Taxis are available in front of the airport terminals. Barcelona's integrated bus and metro system provides a cheap and efficient way of getting around the city.
