The Vale d'El Rei Suite and Village Resort is a modern, whitewashed resort with surrounded Mediterranean garden and set on the coast, fifteen kilometres from the ancient Algarve capital of Silves. The 54 air-conditioned suites have modern decor in light tones with oak furniture and balconies with garden views. Amenities include Satellite television, direct-dial phone, Internet access, rollaway beds, minibars, separate living areas with fireplaces and kitchens.
The hotel has two swimming pools, including a children's pool and the hotel also runs a courtesy shuttle bus to the beach. Guests can exercise on the jogging circuit or practice their serves on the tennis courts. For young guests there is a playground and a kids' club is run is high season. The hotel offers several dining options. The Atabu Bar serves an extensive range of Mediterranean cuisine, including pasta and light snacks, in a relaxed and informal setting and is open for breakfast and lunch with poolside service available. The Barrocal Restaurant offers traditional home-cooked Portuguese cuisine and is open for dinner. Its balcony has romantic views of the garden. In the evening guests can enjoy a cocktail from the glass-walled, African-style Calabash Bar. Visitors are well placed to explore the rugged Algarve coastline and will find the Ancient Algarve capital of Silves is just 15 kilometres away and the town of Lagos 60 kilometres drive. Faro Airport is 60 kilometres (40 miles) from the hotel, approximately 45 minutes by car.

Driving Directions
Taxis can be caught from outside the terminal building; typical fare is 45 EUR. Buses leave from outside the terminal building to the nearest bus station at Lagoa.
Driving directions: From the airport take the A22 towards Portimao, take exit 7 to Alcantarilha. Turn right at roundabout and follow signs for Lagoa. Turn left and follow signs to Benagil, the Vale d'El Rei Suite and Village Resort will be on your right. |
