Surrounded by seven acres of landscaped gardens and 16th- century bastions, the palatial Le Meridien Phoenicia hotel is just 200 metres from the beach and 300 metres from the centre of the ancient city of Valletta. The 136 air-conditioned guestrooms feature Mediterranean-style decor with white walls and classic Lloyd and Loom furniture. Driving Directions
There is a full fixed-fare taxi service to all areas of Malta. A taxi booth is located in the Welcomers' Hall where pre-paid tickets may be purchased. The average one- way taxi fare from Malta International Airport is approximately 7 MTL. Alternatively, bus 8 departs regularly to/from Valletta and leaves from the stop outside the check-in hall. An airport shuttle can be organised upon request.
Driving directions: From the airport, go straight across the roundabout, following signs for Valletta. Turn right at the second roundabout and left at the third. At the end of the hill, turn left and then right into the main road. Drive north towards Valletta, passing Portes des Bombes, towards Floriana. Continue straight to a large roundabout, turn left just before the roundabout. The hotel is at the top of the hill on the right. |
