The modern Howard Johnson Sliema Diplomat Hotel is located on the promenade in the popular resort of Sliema and faces the beach and Mediterranean Sea. Guestrooms feature modern decor and light wood furnishings. All include satellite televisions, complimentary newspapers, minibars, safes and hair dryers.
Guests can head for the rooftop pool with its adjacent bar and sun terrace or workout at the fitness room. The 24-hour front desk can arrange childcare and a laundry/valet service. There is a games room and business guests will find conference facilities. The hotel's dining facilities include an extensive buffet of Mediterranean and international dishes and a rooftop terrace and barbeque. Guests can also enjoy a refreshing drink at the poolside bar on the hotel's rooftop. The bay just below the complex offers excellent aquatic sports, bathing facilities and daily boat trips to Malta's sister islands Gozo & Comino, are also available. Malta International Airport is about a 30 minute drive from the hotel.

There is a full fixed fare taxi service to all areas of Malta. A taxi booth is located in the Welcomers' Hall where pre-paid tickets may be purchased. Sliema can be explored on foot, although taxis can be a useful way of making the most of the resort. |
