Hotel Savoia is housed in a restored 19th century farm complex located at the entrance to Bologna, four kilometres from Piazza Maggiore. The 42 guestrooms over three floors are quiet, and individually decorated with white walls, modern prints and coordinated furnishings. All offer garden views and depending on their location, some also have original features such as Tuscan tiled floors and wooden ceilings. All are equipped with air conditioning, minibars, safes, cable TV and wireless Internet, with fruit baskets offered on arrival.
Guests can dine in the hotel restaurant which offers Mediterranean dishes including many specialities prepared with truffles and porcini mushrooms. During summer, meals can be taken al fresco in the terraced garden. Guests can relax in the conservatory with its wrought iron furniture, unwind in the sauna, or enjoy cool drinks in the shade of the pagoda. Business guests can make use of the modern congress hall which offers 11 rooms seating up to 450 people. Bologna's main square, Piazza Maggiore is four kilometres from the hotel as are the city's two leaning towers and art lovers can visit the National Gallery 2.5 kilometres away. Bologna train station is three kilometres away. Bologna Airport (BLQ) is an approximate 15-minute drive away at a distance of 11 kilometres.

The ATC Aerobus runs every 15 minutes to the city centre (4.50 EUR, takes 20 minutes). The nearest train station is in the city centre, three kilometres away. Taxis are available from the airport.From Bologna Airport take the Via Dell'Aeroporto for 1.8 kilometres and turn right onto Via del Triumvirate for 500 metres. Turn right onto Tangenziale for eight kilometres. Turn left onto Via San Donato for 250 metres. |
