Property Info
The Royal Carlton Hotel is a grand property, complete with grand marble staircases and extensive flower garden, set one kilometre from the historic centre of Bologna. The 240 guestrooms are decorated in muted tones, with dark carpets, modern dark wood furniture and matching bedspreads and curtains. All feature French windows leading on to balconies, climate control, high-speed Internet connections, satellite television, minibars and safes, as well as complimentary newspapers, trouser presses and a turndown service. Marble bathrooms have hair dryers, telephones, complimentary bathrobes, slippers and toiletries.
For business guests there are fourteen meeting rooms with a range of audio- visual equipment and high-speed Internet access; the Congress Centre seats up to 500 people and makes an ideal venue for banquets. The hotel has a free parking spaces, as well as a secure garage (fee). Babysitting and childcare services are available. The Planetario Bar is decorated with dark carpets, wood panelling and burgundy leather armchairs; cocktails, wines and other beverages are served here. The Neoclassico Restaurant serves dishes from the surrounding Emilia Romagna region as well as Asian dishes, including sushi, in the plush contemporary dining room, which is decorated in warm berry colours. Bologna Airport is fi minute drive from the hotel.

| Driving Directions
The airport shuttle bus costs around 4 EUR per person, takes about 30 minutes, and stops 200 metres from the hotel. Taxis are available and cost about 15 EUR. Central Bologna is fairly compact and extensively pedestrianised; most of the sights are within walking distance of one another. There is also an excellent bus network and plenty of taxis. |
