Property Info
The Hotel Portoconte is a Catalan-styled property set in a nature reserve on the beach, 500 metres from Nuraghe Palmavera and six kilometres from Alghero. The 143 guestrooms feature simple decor with and wood furniture. All include balconies with pine forest or garden views, satellite television and direct-dial phones. The half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
The hotel's informal restaurant serves modern Sardinian dishes of seafood and homemade pasta, as well as Mediterranean Sushi, which are accompanied by an extensive list of local wines. Guests can laze on sun terraces by the pools, head down to the private beach, and enjoy drinks and snacks from the poolside bar or indulgent treats prepared by the pastry chef. Nearby attractions include the hiking and biking trails in the Punta Giglio Nature Park which is 500 metres away, and Neptune's Caves which are eight kilometres away. Alghero Airport is six kilometres from the hotel, 15-minute drive.
Please note:
A club card costing 5 EUR per day (3 EUR for those 11 years old and under) is mandatory for all guests staying between the 10th June and the 18th September. This entitles guests to all beach and pool services, group tennis lessons, aerobics, water aerobics, latin dance lessons, miniclub (until the 9th September), tournaments, and nightly entertainment. Fees are payable locally. |

Driving Directions
A taxi to the hotel from the airport costs about 30 EUR. Alternatively guests can arrange a private transfer with the hotel shuttle service (surcharge). Efficient bus, taxi and train services are easily accessible on the island.
Driving directions: From the airport drive towards Alghero. At the first stop sign turn right towards Fertilia, and at the second stop sign turn left continuing towards Fertilia. At the first traffic light turn right towards Porto Conte. Continue for three to four kilometres until the fork in the road. Stay left in the direction of Porto Conte and the hotel is 300 metres on. |
