The Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg is housed in one of the largest European baroque palaces and located on the Bensberg mountain terrace with views of Cologne. The hotel's 120 guestrooms have views of the castle's courtyard or the gardens plus traditional decor with pastel colour schemes and period furnishings including armchairs, writing desks and coffee tables. The hotel's main restaurant, the Vendôme, is a gourmet dining experience awarded 3 Michelin stars for its French cuisine, and featuring a fusion-style decor of classical and rustic motifs. Italian cuisine is available at the Trattoria Enoteca as well as a wide selection of wines. Drinks and aperitifs can be enjoyed in the fireplace room, which has traditional dark-wood furnishings, high ceilings with coving and a big chandelier. The wellness centre comprises a large indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna facilities as well as additional beauty and massages services. | Driving Directions
Buses can be taken in the direction of Köln Hauptbahnhof (the main railway station), which leaves every 15 minutes from 6:05am to 23:45pm. From the main station, a bus or train can be taken to Bensberg station, 500 metres from the hotel. Taxi, however, is the recommended means of getting to the hotel; typical cost is about 40 EUR. Driving directions: From the airport, take motorway A59 in the direction of Cologne. Change to the A4 in the direction of Gummesbach. Exit at Moitzfeld. Turn left to Bensberg and turn right at the second traffic lights. At the next traffic light, turn left. |
