The Steigenberger Badischer Hof is a spa hotel housed in a former Capuchin Monastery, 30 metres from the Old Town and five kilometres from the Black Forest. The 139 guestrooms have light, modern decor in shades of blue and white with hazel furniture. All are equipped with satellite television with pay movies, wireless Internet connections, clock radios and minibars. Bathrooms include showers, scales and hair dryers.
The hotel houses two swimming pools, including a heated indoor pool. Guests can enjoy a range of therapies and beauty treatments in the spa centre, including massage, saunas, steam baths, thalasso therapy and a maritime climatic chamber. The Burda art museum, which houses a number of late Picasso pieces and comprehensive collections of work by Sigmar Polke and Gerhard Richter, is 350 metres from the hotel. Frankfurt Airport is 100 kilometres away, and can be reached by car in approximately one hour.

Driving Directions
Frankfurt airport has two passenger railway facilities: The Regional Train Station and the Fernbahnof long- distance train station. Taxis are readily available outside both terminals. Regular buses stop at the bus station in front of the Terminal 1 Arrivals hall on level 1 and at the bus bay in front of the Arrivals/Departures halls on level 2, Terminal 2.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the A5 and exit at Baden-Baden. Follow the pink route and you will find the hotel on the right, 300 metres after the Alter Bahnhof/Festival Hall. |
