The Baltic Hotel Imperial is a charming property inspired by the Medieval architecture of the city and built against the historic town wall in the centre of Tallinn's Old Town, 500 metres from Toompea Castle. This three floor hotel features 32 air-conditioned guestrooms decorated in soft, warm tones with classic oak furnishings. Some rooms feature the traditional stone walls. In-room amenities include cable TV, direct-dial phones, wireless Internet and minibars.
Guests can wake up each morning to a buffet breakfast comprising of a selection of cold meats, cheese, herring, fruit, cereals, breads, eggs, pastries and juices. Breakfast is served in the first floor Medieval themed restaurant where in the evening guests can sample unusual dishes from the first cheese restaurant in Estonia. Design features in the restaurant include Medieval coats of arms, wrought iron candelabras, suits of armour and all the waiting staff are dressed as monks. Those seeking relaxation can head to the traditional Finnish sauna to sweat it out in the log cabin before taking a dip into the bubbling waters of the spa tub. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk are on hand to offer guests advise on making the most of a trip to the city and guests can get a discount at several local venues including the Beer House and Club Avenue. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the property and after planning sightseeing itineraries guests can browse through complimentary newspapers in the lobby. The Medieval city wall is incorporated into the architecture of the pub and guests can while away the hours on the large leather armchairs whilst sat by the log fire. The hotel is a short walk from the main attractions in the old town centre and there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants nearby. Tallinn Airport is six kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.

Driving Directions
The fastest way to get from the airport to the hotel is by taxi which should cost approximately 120 EEK. There are also two buses which run from the airport to the city centre every 30 minutes. Guests should then take a tram or walk through the old town to get to the hotel. The nearest station is Baltijaam which is 300 metres from the hotel.
Driving directions: From the airport - Turn right and drive along Tartu highway until the crossroad next to the Stockmann and the take a right turn into Pronksi street. Drive approximately 1.5 km and on the third traffic lights turn to left. Carry straight on for approximately 1.5 km and from the ring road next to the Viru Hotel turn right. Then drive straight for 2 km and after the third traffic lights turn left. Go across the tramway and drive straight until the railway station is on the right. Then take a turn to the left into Nunne street, drive 150 metres and Hotel Imperial is on the left. |
