The Hotel de Stokerij is a country house hotel set in a quiet area in West Flanders, 10 kilometres from Ostend and 15 kilometres from Bruges. The 10 guestrooms are individually designed in a rustic style with oak wood floors, fireplaces, and patios. All have air conditioning, direct-dial phones, televisions, safes, minibars, hair dryers, and bathrobes.
After breakfast, guests can relax with a drink in the lobby or browse the Internet for sightseeing information. Staff at the front desk can advise further on local attractions and offer an express check-in and check-out service. There is an attractive garden where visitors can unwind and, when weather permits, use the outdoor sauna and Turkish bath. The hotel restaurant, which is 800 metres from the main building, serves a choice of fish and shellfish and is a museum in its own right with old Flemish decor and antiques. Sightseers can take a day trip to Bruges 15 kilometres away, or to Damme 25 kilometres away. Brussels Airport is 100 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.

Driving Directions
There are regular trains from Brussels Airport to Ostend which take approximately one hour. Guests are then advised to take a taxi or a bus to Oudenburg where the hotel is located. Fares cost approximately 25 EUR. The nearest train station to the hotel is Ostend-Bruges which is 10 kilometres away. Guests can take a bus or taxi to the station and from there connect to many of the major cities and towns.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the E-40 Gent- Ostend and exit at number 6 Jabbeke. At the third roundabout drive in the direction of Oudenburg-Gistel. After approximately 4 kilometres turn right at Autogarage Schoutteet for the hotel. |
