Meliá Caribe Tropical provides family-oriented all- inclusive accommodations in Punta Cana, located on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. The most complete resort of the Caribbean is perfectly situated on the palm-lined shores of Bavaro Beach and is adjacent to the famous Cocotal Golf and Country Club, designed by Jose Pepe Gancedo.
Surrounded by relaxing palm trees and gorgeous white sand, the Melia Caribe Tropical provides over 1,000 rooms in 44 bungalows across the property. The resort provides a variety of suites, including one bedroom and golf suites. The hotel's newest deluxe suites feature a spa tub, plasma television and CD player. Other guestroom amenities include ceiling fan, in-room safes (for a fee), direct- dial telephones, Internet access, satellite televisions and minibars. The resort is home to numerous restaurants, bars and cafeterias. Dining options include Mexican, seafood, steaks, Italian, Asian, Japanese, an American grill, and Dominican cuisines. The hotel's Le Gourmet serves fine French cuisine and has a semi-formal dress code.
Hotel amenities and services include two world-class spas with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and providing massage and other spa services. The hotel also include a gym, beauty salon, eight tennis courts, seven swimming pools, an arcade with video and electronic games, a casino, sports bar and fun pub. Non- motorized water sports at the resort include kayaks, canoes, windsurf, water bikes, snorkelling (for an extra charge), sunfish sailing, and diving lessons at the pool.
The Melia Caribe Tropical presents two live shows each night and a variety of daily activities for children and adults, including a weekly themed party. The hotel is the only resort presenting "The Flintstones" with the most exclusive children's program: Baby Rock Club (four month to four year olds), Bam Bam Club with a fun park and the stone lake (5-12 year olds), and Cool Club (for teenagers).
