Located on the Confresi Beach on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, the Hacienda Tropical provides an all-inclusive vacation resort for families and couples. This hotel is less than three km from town of Puerto Plata and the Amber Museum, and is just 30 minutes from the International Airport of Puerto Plata.
The Hacienda Tropical Resort offers 340 air-conditioned guestrooms in seven Mediterranean-style buildings that overlook the pool, the resort's tropical gardens, or the ocean. Guestrooms have white-tile floors and are decorated with floral-print fabrics and colorful, locally crafted furniture.
The resort's large main pool consists of two levels, a swim-up bar and a children's section, and is the focus of daytime activities such as water aerobics. Off to one side, a good-size "quiet pool" provides tranquil sunbathing on an expansive flagstone deck. The beach curves along a large bay that offers calm water for swimming and snorkeling.
An all-inclusive property, room rates include unlimited food and drink, Dominican alcoholic beverages, house wine with meals, non- motorized water-sports equipment, all resort fitness and recreation facilities, activities and entertainment, and a supervised children's club for ages 4 to 12. Hacienda Tropical guests also may eat and drink at restaurants and bars and use pools and other facilities at the Hacienda Garden and Hacienda Suites, both within walking distance. The Tropical provides six restaurants and two bars, a small shopping plaza with an Internet café, daily open-air theater show or beach party, nightclubs and a hair salon.

The Honeymoon Package includes: accommodations as selected plus guestroom upgrade (based on availability at check-in); romantic turn-down service and fruit platter in room upon arrival. When booking, please put in special request section "Our Honeymoon" & provide proof of wedding ceremony. The "Honeymoon Package" is without any additional charge (included in the room rate).
Ocean World Promotion:
Book a four night minimum stay through December 19, 2006 and receive one complimentary admission per person to Ocean World (redemption details upon check in). Admission includes: roundtrip shuttle (hotel/park/hotel); Sea Lions Show (twice per day); Snorkel Reef Aquarium (equipment provided); Rainforest & Bird Sanctuary; Tiger Grotto; Dolphin Beach; observation of all interactive programs; lunch buffet (drinks not included).
Admission to Ocean World has no monetary value, therefore there will be no refunds in case of non use of this facility. Admissions are non-transferable, non-cumulative. Park reservations are requested at guest's arrival to hotel. |

Driving Directions
From Puerto Plata International Gregorio Luperón Airport:
Exit the airport, turn right and continue on the main highway.
Carretera Sosúa Puerto Plata, through the town of Puerto Plata.
Go straight on towards Carretera Santiago.
Follow signs for Cofresi beach and thehotel.
Getting there: Choices are by taxi ($16-$25 fare) or rental car (more than $36). Prices are subject to change without notice. Rental cars are available online. Shuttle vans or private cars of varying prices are available. They can be selected during the process of booking an air-inclusive reservation for this hotel, via this Web site, and added to the total trip cost. |
