Property Info
Location. Located on Ko Samui, an island off the east coast of Thailand, the Amari Palm Reef Resort and Spa, Samui rests on the northern end of Chaweng Beach, a stretch of sand known for its quieter ambience. With powder-white beaches and warm, emerald waters, the area provides the perfect escape for honeymooners. Just 12 kilometers from Koh Samui Airport International Airport, the resort is 12 kilometers from Big Buddha, a twelve-meter high statue of the Buddha that lies at the top of ceremonial dragon-steps.
Guests can also venture inland 32 kilometers and explore the Hin Lad waterfall, which contains several levels with a refreshing pool at the bottom. The city center, with its bustling nightlife, is located 27 kilometers away.
Hotel Features. The Amari Palm Reef Resort and Spa, Samui houses two pools, a poolside bar and whirlpool. Guests can enjoy recreational activities such as windsurfing and kayaking or head to the nearby dive center. Guests seeking strict relaxation can book a treatment at the Sivara Spa. With its outdoor rain showers and small gardens, it's the perfect place for couples to relax.
Balmy sea breezes are part of the fun at the on-site Merante Seaside Dining, which is open for breakfast and lunch. Italian cuisine, including seafood specialties and wood-fired pizzas, can be found at the resort's other restaurant, Prego.
Guestrooms. The Amari Palm Reef Resort and Spa, Samui has 187 Thai-style guestrooms set in tropical gardens on the beach. All have private balconies or terraces, satellite television, minibars, direct-dial telephones and in-room safes.
Expert Tip. For an intriguing experience, guests can head to the island's snake farm, which features some of the most poisonous snakes, along with centipedes and scorpions.
