The Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort is comprised of duplex suites and traditional longhouses set on the shores of a freshwater lake surrounded by mountains and the unspoilt rainforests of Sarawak. The 100 guestrooms are all decorated with indigenous dark timber and open onto balconies or terraces. Modern amenities include air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, minibars and televisions. Bathrooms come with hair dryers and toiletries.
Guests can dine in the informal Nanga Mepi Restaurant, which features local ethnic decor and serves Asian and Western dishes, including fresh fish from the lake. A children's menu is available and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Wong Irup Lounge is decorated with symbols of Sarawak's rich cultural past and serves tropical thirst-quenchers and cocktails. Guests can cool off in the outdoor pool, while kids have their own pool and mini-playground to keep themselves entertained. There is also a tennis court, table tennis and board games, and pedal boats are available for those who wish to experience Batang Ai from the tranquil blue lake. A host of activities and excursions can be arranged at the resort, including visits to authentic Iban longhouses, guided jungle trekking and nature walks, longboat river cruises and trips to waterfalls. For anglers, there is an abundance of fish to be caught in the lake. Practical amenities at the hotel include currency exchange, babysitting and childcare, and safe- deposit boxes at the front desk. Kuching International Airport (KCH) is 275 kilometres from the hotel, around four hours by car.

| Driving Directions
A daily shuttle service is available to and from the airport, taking about four hours, and must be booked with the hotel in advance. The charges are RM 110 per person return with a minimum of two people. Charges for children 11 years and below is RM 60 return. The resort itself is accessible only by boat. Cars can be left parked outside the arrival/departure hall. The parking area is surrounded by high fences and is securely locked after the last boat to the resort. |
