The Kingdom at Victoria Falls is a hotel complex inspired by the legendary Zimbabwe Monument, some of Africa's only ancient ruins. Set in gardens beside a man-made lake, the hotel is crested with domes and features pillars, rope swing bridges and wrought-iron balustrades. It is the nearest hotel to the Victoria Falls, which are one kilometer away and can be accessed by the hotel's private footpath. The 294 guestrooms feature light décor with dark wood furniture and have balconies. All feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable television, coffee and tea making facilities, safes, minibars and complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms come with telephones and complimentary toiletries.
After a complimentary buffet breakfast, guests can make use of the hotel's four swimming pools, including an outdoor pool and a children's pool. The hotel has three entertaining bars including the Rapid Pool Bar, set on an island surrounded by rapids and serves drinks and snacks, Quartermains, the Edwardian theme bar, and Wild Things, an action and entertainment bar with big screens for watching sport and a dance-floor in the evening. There is a host of recreational activities on offer near to the hotel including Zambezi River cruises, bungi jumping, vintage train excursions and different types of safari. The town center is also one kilometer from the hotel. The nearest airport to the hotel complex is Victoria Falls Airport, which is 22 kilometers away, at an approximate journey time of 25 minutes.
