Property Info
The Hotel Omar Khayam is housed in a Moorish-style building, set on the beach and surrounded by tropical gardens, located six kilometres from the city centre. The 360 tiled guestrooms are decorated with light walls and natural-toned fabrics, and open onto balconies or terraces overlooking the sea, gardens or pool area. All are equipped with telephones with free local calls, televisions (surcharge), makeup mirrors and bathrooms with showers and hair dryers. Refrigerators are available on request.
The hotel houses an outdoor pool, complete with sun terrace and poolside bar, a large indoor pool and a fitness room where guests can work out or join an aerobics class. The Khayam Wellness Centre offers a range of relaxing massage or beauty treatments, and guests can unwind in the sauna or top up their tans in the solarium. Energetic holidaymakers can windsurf or water-ski at the private beach, go on organised scuba-dives with the Dive Centre, or play tennis on one of the three courts. More sedate activities on offer include mini-golf, table tennis and archery. International dishes are served in the oriental-styled Ulysses restaurant, while Italian, Tunisian and international fare is on the menu at the buzzing Lobby Bar. La Brise, an a la carte restaurant, turns into a pool bar after dinner. A dedicated entertainment team keeps children and adults entertained by day, and guests can dance till the sun comes up in the disco. Conference rooms and secretarial services are available for business travellers. Staff at the 24-hour front desk are on hand to exchange currency, arrange childcare services and advise on local sights and attractions. Guests arriving by car will find free parking on site, and transport to and from the airport is available (surcharge). Kids will love the Aquapark, one kilometre away, while adults can pick up bargains in the markets of Hammamet and Nabeul, both six kilometres from the hotel. Tunis-Carthage Airport is 60 kilometres away and can be reached by car in approximately one hour.
