The Sharm Holiday Resort is a modern hotel located 700 metres from the beach in Naama Bay, Sharm el Sheikh, on Egypt's Red Sea coast. The 299 guestrooms are spread over two floors and all have balconies and terraces with pool or garden views, and simple modern decor with tiled floors, patterned fabrics and light wood furnishings including desks, coffee tables and dressing tables. All include air conditioning, satellite television, hair dryers, minibars and safes. Half board and bed and breakfast room rates are offered.
Guests can enjoy international buffets in the main restaurant, Thai-style seafood dishes in the a la carte restaurant, drinks and snacks from the poolside bars, or relax with a glass of mint tea and try a shisha water pipe in the traditional Bedouin tent café. There is also a disco where guests can dance the night away and enjoy live music and entertainment. The hotel has a large swimming pool with separate children's pool, surrounded by sunbeds and parasols. There is also a children's playground, a health club with gym, hot tub, sauna, steam bath and massage, and a shopping centre on site. There is a tennis court at the hotel (coaching available for a surcharge) and two squash courts. The golden sandy private beach in Naama Bay is a 700 metre walk away, where guests will find sun beds and umbrellas as well as non-motorised water sports and glass-bottom boats. Alternatively the hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from the beach. Room service is available around the clock and practical amenities include safe-deposit boxes, free parking, and babysitting available on request (surcharge). Multilingual staff on the 24-hour front desk can assist with tourist advice and transport bookings, and organise desert safaris and day trips to biblical sites such as Mount Sinai, where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments. Sharm el Sheikh International Airport is 10 kilometres (6 miles) from the hotel, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
