Those fascinated by Egyptian history will find plenty of interest in the area, as Luxor is purported to contain two thirds of the world's ancient monuments. The vast Temple of Karnak, on which construction began in the 16th century BC, is one kilometre from the hotel. Luxor International Airport is nine kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.

Driving Directions
The easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport is by taxi. Buses run regularly from the airport to the city centre. The best way to get around the city is by taxi, which can be hired by the day or for individual journeys. Caleches, or horse-drawn carriages, are available for shorter, more leisurely journeys. Hop-on, hop-off microbuses are inexpensive and operate on fixed routes, but can become crowded. Ferries and sailing boats regularly cross the Nile between Corniche and the West Bank.
Driving directions: Drive along the airport road until it crosses with Corniche Street. Then turn right and continue straight on until reaching the hotel on the left, located by the river Nile. |
