Om Kolthoom Hotel and Tower is built on the site of the Om Kolthoom Villa and overlooks the Nile River and Cairo city. This 16-floor hotel features 105 air-conditioned guestrooms, all of which include satellite television, telephones, minibars, sofabeds and private bathrooms. Guestrooms are furnished in a modern style and extend to balconies with river and city views.
Guests are greeted in an elegant air-conditioned entrance hall with marble floors, wood panelling and chandelier lighting. Staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist with concierge services, laundry and dry-cleaning requirements. Snacks are available from room service at any time. There are banquet facilities and conference rooms seating up to 600 people, including the grand ballroom situated on the top floor of the hotel with panoramic river views. Guests enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning in the Restaurant Angham, an informal restaurant with tiled floors and white linen tableware serving a daily buffet. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Cappuccino Coffee Shop serves snacks and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere and extends to an outdoor area during the evenings. Guests can buy embroidered clothing and leather goods at the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, and visit the historic churches and museum of Coptic Cairo, both ten kilometres from the hotel. Cairo International Airport is 35 kilometres from the hotel and takes around 60 minutes by car.

| Driving Directions
Black and white taxis are available from the airport to central Cairo and leave from outside the Arrivals hall. Buses are available from the airport to central Cairo. An airport bus service operates from Terminal One (Old Airport). Bus service 400 leaves approximately every 30 minutes during the day and every hour at night. One of the best ways to explore Cairo is by the new Metro system, which is inexpensive and not too crowded. But, buses and minibuses are still the most common form of transport for Cairenes, although taxis are a better option for visitors. Boats depart frequently for University, a landing over on the Giza side of the river. Every second boat continues south to Manial, Rhoda, Giza and Masr al-Qadima (old Cairo). |
