The Safir Hotel Cairo is a modern high-rise complex overlooking the River Ni le, one kilometre from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo's city centre. | Driving Directions
The hotel operates its own shuttle service for a fee. Buses run regularly fr om the airport to Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo; taxis are also available and will cost around EGP 80 to the hotel. One of the best ways to explore Ca iro is by Metro which is inexpensive and not too crowded. Buses and minibuse s are still the most common form of transport, although taxis are a better o ption for visitors. Boats depart frequently for the Giza side of the river. Every second boat continues south to Manial, Rhoda, Giza and Masr al-Qadima (old Cairo). |
