Located in the centre of Cairo's business district, the multi-storey Concorde Hotel is a modern terraced building. Its 71 air-conditioned guestrooms include satellite television, mini- fridges and ensuite bathrooms. Rooms are decorated with dark carpets and fabrics and also have safes.
The hotel's international restaurant serves both North African and European cuisine. Guests shouldn't miss the opportunity to have a romantic cruise dinner on the Nile River, less than two kilometers away. A currency exchange, parking facilities and laundry service all contribute to the hotel's convenience. Dokki metro station is just 500 meters from the hotel. The breathtaking Giza Pyramids are 13 kilometers away. At Cairo Airport, black and white taxis are available from outside the Arrivals hall. Cairo's Metro system is new and efficient, while taxis are cheap and plentiful. The river bus terminal is to be found at Maspero.

Cairo International Airport (CAI): Approximate driving time is 45 minutes and distance is 22 kilometers (14 miles). Black and white taxis are available from the airport to central Cairo. They leave from outside the Arrivals hall. Buses are available from the airport to central Cairo. An airport bus service operates from Terminal 1 (Old Airport). Bus service 400 leaves approximately every 30 minutes during the day and every hour at night. One of the best way to explore Cairo is by the new Metro system. It is very inexpensive and not too crowded. But, buses and minibuses are still the most common form of transport for Cairenes, although taxis are a better option for visitors. Boats depart frequently for University, a landing over on the Giza side of the river. Every second boat continues south to Manial, Rhoda, Giza and Masr al-Qadima (old Cairo). |
